The Yardbirds, Country Joe & the Fish - Fillmore Auditorium, San Francisco, 1966

It was 57 years ago on this day October 23rd that the Yardbirds played along with Country Joe & the Fish for one night only at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco. The poster was created by John H. Meyers. Both Jeff Beck and his eventual replacement, Jimmy Page appear in this poster's band picture, it's a real treat to see both Jeff and Jimmy in the Yardbirds' photo, the two guitar gods who shared the stage for a while before Jeff split. The group was touring in support of its highest-charting studio album, "Over Under Sideways Down", and coming off their Top 20 single of the same name.
