Frank Zappa & the Mothers of Invention playing at the Pamplin Sports Center in Lewis & Clark (liberal arts) College in Portland, Oregon on Tuesday evening, September 22, 1970. The Mothers' latest studio effort was Burnt Weeny Sandwich from earlier that year, and that very week, Bizarre/Warner Bros. released the Zappa compilation Weasels Ripped My Flesh, the seventh studio album by The Mothers of Invention, and the tenth overall by Frank Zappa, after the Mothers disbanded in 1969, and here in Portland with a new group of musicians.
